Heavenly Father, we ask your forgiveness during this time of examination of conscience. We ask you to open our hearts to the ways our own actions in the world make us culpable to the ongoing threats from climate change. Help us to shift our hearts and focus our hands to protect all species from extinction.  We ask this through the intercession of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.
