Building bridges : A word of prayer
Dear Lord,
we want to thank you for this opportunity,
to go the distance of gathering us together to talk about building bridges,
and mendingbroken ones,
because you are the arch-builder of bridges,
bridges of love,
bridges of hope,
bridges of compassion,
bridges of justice,
may you lead us as we continue our journey together,
of building a common voice,
an interfaith voice,
an ecumenical voice,
an interdenominational voice,
to empower especially young people,
and those who are living with or personally affected, or vulnerable to HIV,
to empower them to see a world without AIDS,
that together we can live to see what you have promised us,
a world that is abundant in life, and in health , and in peace,
in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
AMEN .

Compassionate God, we ask you:
to fill us with your love,
