Città di Messico (Agenzia Fides) –
"Mercoledì 2 agosto, il responsabile medico dell'unità di terapia intensiva del Istituto Nazionale di scienza Medica (INCM) ha annunciato che padre José Miguel Machorro presenta una situazione di morte cerebrale, per cui ci si aspetta solo che il cuore smetta di battere”, afferma un comunicato inviato all’Agenzia Fides dall'Arcidiocesi di Messico che annuncia la morte cerebrale di padre Machorro.

Il sacerdote era rimasto vittima il 15 maggio di un attacco all’arma bianca da parte di un individuo al termine della celebrazione della Messa nella Cattedrale Metropolitana del Messico (Vedi Fides 16 e 19/05/2017).

Da allora le condizioni di Padre Machorro si sono aggravate al punto che il 1° d'agosto era stato trasferito con urgenza all’Istituto Nazionale di scienza Medica (INCM). (CE) (Agenzia Fides, 03/08/2017)
